THE GIDEON FOUNDATION

THE GIDEON FOUNDATION

The Gideon Foundation is a non religious, nonprofit, community based program that involves parents and their children in advancing both reading and math skills so that children are more competitive, competent, and prepared to enter college or the job market.

OUR PROGRAMS

YOUNG READERS

To read, children learn the alphabetic code with our PhonicTracks booklets, using a step-by-step method to master phonetic sound combinations for word decoding. Starting with short vowel sounds, the booklets provide ample practice for mastery learning. Research suggests proficient decoders demonstrate increased fluency and improved comprehension.

READING

The Foundation’s reading program offers building block exercises, including a comprehension series for improved learning and vocabulary development. Grammar booklets are integrated, emphasizing strong foundations in sentence structure, diagramming, punctuation, capitalization, subject-verb agreement, and verb tense.

MATH

The Foundation’s math program ensures mastery of essential calculation skills, fostering confidence and a strong math foundation. Weekly booklets cover sequential topics from basic arithmetic to high school geometry, presenting daily skills in a step-by-step approach for thorough practice until mastery is attained.
